I want to know, too, balsax. At level 30, I got The Engineer because I was having so much trouble with traps and puzzles. (Also, DiiDii thought he was cute.) However, I'm now buying hundreds of percents of trap and puzzle solving skills from The Assassin at Mizniaport, so it's time to kick the loyal fellow to the curb. I know experienced players recommend The Kid, but I'm considering The Accountant.

I'm also pondering The Nabiz. Has anyone had one as a sidekick?

Even if you buy all the TMP stuff, they will still kill you at very high levels. The Assassin only does 2 of the 3 mechanicals (I think it's puzzles that are still exposed). The Kid will take care of your mechanical side once he levels up a bit, the Gent will take care of both magical and mechanical TMPs for ya, but there are no added APs. At my level I get 42AP a day using the kid and all Mechs are an auto win. I don't even bother defending against Magicals as I figure there is no XP gain either way and I can better use the 6 skill points elsewhere. (Even with the Magical TMP skills I'd still end up with a 50% or less chance most the time exploring at +5). Anyways, for a primary I would choose the Kid, or maybe the Idiot. For a secondary I'd choose the Accountant to help bankroll cash. btw, none of the sidekicks help you in the Arena, except the Accountant as it lets you buy better stuff to bash your opponents. Just my rambling 2 cents. eb

Gomer, just how high (or low, I should say) do TMP IWPs get, and what counts as a 'very high level'? I'm currently level 33, with The Gent - level 3 and a Fanucci hand of 86. I also have the 12 main TMP skills (up to 50% on each type), the 20% TMP amulet, and Fanucci's of 80 (Spirit) and 90 (Mind). Exploring at +6, I laugh at TMPs (just had some with FWP of 342%). I was thinking it's a bit overkill right now, but also curious just how much longer it will stay this way.

I've seen -500 IWPs before, granted thats exploring at +5 at level 73, but they do steadily get nastier and nastier. The kid and the assassin skills are enough for my mechanical TMPs, but even fully buffed the magicals would still kill me around level 60ish when I did my last restat.

I've got accountants on all 5 of my chars. My bank on each is just back up above 90mil (after the last round of armory donations, which ran about 13mil per char). They've all had max weapons / armor / spells since about level 35, and full max card gambits since just about level 20-25.

I'm still pondering my next sidekick. I just checked the sideskicks of the top 20 players (based on XP). They are:
1 - mob 2 - mob 3 - nabiz 4 - nabiz 5 - mob 6 - mob 7 - mob 8 - kid 9 - nabiz 10 - guttersnipe 11 - kid 12 - kid 13 - kid 14 - mob 15 - windcat 16 - kid 17 - mob 18 - gent 19 - guttersnipe 20 - kid
