Heads up peeps, seems there's something amiss in the arena.
After a hard days fighting I was puzzled as to why my fame had not risen as expected. I was on about 72 million fame before getting the blood flowing but when I'd finished all my fights and checked my score it was on 72.1 million when I had won around 1 million in my fights.
A quick test showed that a single fight winning 535 fame only registered in my total as 500? I'm not sure just how much of the days total fame went missing as I don't usually keep tally before and after, but I will now. If I'm correct I should now be on about 73.2 million instead of 72.1.
A ticket has been sent but I advise any other fighters to keep an eye on the figures and send their own ticket reporting their own findings.
A glance at the top player fame stats seems to show no noticable changes as there usually are so this may be zork-wide.....or it could just be me wearing my stoopid head.
Won't stop me bashing the BGL though...lol
Any comments?

Just had email from Rhona at support and got some free AP to experiment.
The last 2 digits of the fame win (or loss perhaps too) are being rounded up or down accordingly. I'm hoping this is only a problem for my character level with very high fame and not for those at lower levels because it could mean a win could actually give no fame at all.
Here is part of my reply to Rhona with some experiments I did:
--------------------------------------------------------- Seems that the fame win points (& loss points?) are rounded up or down on the last two digits when redisplayed in the players statistics page but in the win popup window following a fight the actual figure for "you now have XXX fame" is 100% acurate.
I'm not sure how things are with lower level characters winning 2 digits of fame or super high famers winning hundreds of thousands until I can experiment tommorrow, will let you know. I have no idea how long this has been going on but tonight I just seemed to notice something wrong. I hope no serious deductions occur to a win of say 500,000 causing it to read as something like 5000 when returning to the stats page and I hope you don't get a flood of tickets from other players. Thanks for the AP to experiment, I hope this can help address the issue and I'll keep you informed of my findings. ----------------------------------------
Will keep you informed

Interesting. It may be rounding the last two digits. I just did a couple test fights, one high fame (87795) and one low (8). After the high-fame win, I had 5 more fame points than I should have. My last 2 digits before the fight were 40, and after the fight were 40, when they should have been 35. The 8-point win immediately after had me with 50 for my last 2 digits. This is on an alt with 4.1 million fame total.
Update: I just tested with a low-fame alt, who went from 1848 to 1859 fame after winning 11 in battle as expected (checking the character statistics page after closing out the battle completion popup). It looks like there could be a limit to the number of digits in fame totals before this becomes noticeable.

I think this little problem only applies to low fame characters as some of my lower alts have no issues. Once a player reaches a certain fame score..maybe 1 million, then the reported total in the player stats page is rounded up or down on the last two digits. I did some experiments with "nerb" and fought a 0 famer and won 16 fame. In my stats page it showed no change (0 fame win) but the popup after a fight is always acurate for your new total. Seems crazy it gets calculated twice and the second calculation does this glitch. It's no problem really unless it was happening to all players at any level/fame. It's being looked at so hopefully it will get attention. It's like I said to Rhona at support..it's as if the stat page has had a couple of beads missing from it's abacus for high famers due to zm cutbacks ..lol

It does appear to be linked to the number of digits of the character's fame total. I tested this with 4 of my characters with varying levels of fame. Those with 4, 5 and 6 digit fame totals did not show the issue, but the alt with a 7-digit fame total had the lowest digit rounded to the nearest 10. I'd be curious if this logic follows with 8 and 9 digit fame totals, such that a character with 10-99million fame, the lowest 2 digits would round to the nearest 100; and a character with 100million+ fame, the lowest 3 digits round to the nearest 1000. As I my characters are not that famous, I'll have to leave this up to you to test. Your initial post makes me think this might be true, where your 72 million fame character got 500 fame out of a 535 point win.
