Is there a cap on the AP that you receive when the AP refreshes? I've noticed that I'll have 106 AP one evening. The next day I'll have 107. The only thing I can think of is that there is an AP cap on the characters. Not sure why that is though.

My cap was always 90 AP, before I got to level 35. Then I got a sidekick. Now, when my sidekick (the kid) levels up, he brings his extra AP with him. So now his extra AP is added to mine to get the total for the character. Maybe this is what is happening to you.

There are basically 2 AP pools that your character has, and the combined total is what is shown. One is for the free daily AP, which normally caps at 90. (some Sidekicks will increase your daily 30-point accumulation and/or your 90-point cap) The other is for bonus AP from potions or rewards such as installing the browser toolbar. When you play, the game pulls from the daily-AP pool first, and when that's empty, from the bonus-AP pool if there is any available.
Thus, if you get 200 APs from a potion (say from certain quests), your combined AP total could be up to 290 where it would cap out until you use enough APs to get through the free daily-APs and into the bonus-AP pool.
